Contribute to Sanford operations and processes while obtaining first hand experiences that align with the mission, vision, and values of the organization. The intern will work with the pharmacogenetics pharmacy team at Imagenetics to research different areas of pharmacogenetics. They will be located in the Imagenetics building but work with staff across the entire footprint of Sanford. Projects will include pharmacogenomic literature and data confirmation, collection and evaluation with expectations of report and presentation of said data. They will be included in departmental and administrative meetings allowing for development of interdisciplinary communication skills. Work collaboratively with organization leadership, enhancing knowledge and skills and improving the delivery of quality healthcare. Assist in the completion of projects and administrative duties while developing skills related to the assigned function and/or location. Attend training and development opportunities, learning about various processes and functions within the organization.

Must be comfortable presenting information and education to healthcare providers. Interest in pharmacogenetics preferred. Pharmacy major preferred. Current enrollment or recent graduate of an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program from an accredited college or university. Knowledge of healthcare industry preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
