Contribute to Sanford operations and processes while obtaining first hand experiences that align with the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Work collaboratively with organization leadership, enhancing knowledge and skills and improving the delivery of quality healthcare. Assist in the completion of projects and administrative duties while developing skills related to the assigned function and/or location. Attend training and development opportunities, learning about various processes and functions within the organization.


Collaborates with departmental associates and management. Researches business related data and generates and interprets basic analytics. Demonstrates a basic understanding of organizational project management practices and tools. Demonstrates the ability to speak, write and present clearly. Delivers formal and informal stand-up presentations or demos to audiences of all kinds. Identifies tasks or outputs that require accuracy and detail-level attention. Imagenetics IT The resource will be involved in the day to day operations of the Imagenetics engineering team as we build clinical genetic testing pipelines. The resource will be responsible for helping the engineering team in the automation of tests and other tasks related to the improvement of our flagship genetic testing products. Sanford Chip Operations: Write automated tests to ensure integration and system integrity despite continous change on our existing software platform. Sanford Chip Upgrade: Work with engineering teammates to plan and write tests to ensure as much test coverage of our upgraded software pipeline as possible. Intern will attend sprint planning meetings to understand and commit to work to be done, as well as daily standups, backlog grooming meetings, sprint demos and retrospectives.


Current enrollment or recent graduate of an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program from an accredited college or university. Knowledge of healthcare industry preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Intern should be pursuing a BS in Computer Science, MIS, math or a similar field. The ideal candidate will be a Junior going into their Senior year with some experience using modern programming languages such as Python, Ruby, Javascript, Java, etc. An ideal candidate will be actively learning beyond what they are covering in their coursework and will have already tried some different frameworks/libraries etc to solve real world problems. However, passion and determination are more important than experience.
