JOB SUMMARY

Provides in depth service utilizing specific systems to address and resolve healthcare service issues and concerns. Responding to customer inquiries and providing a speedy and thorough resolution to customer issues and problems. Handling escalated and unresolved calls from less experienced representatives. Acting as second-level support for complex problems. Assessing customer requirements and suggesting or promoting alternative healthcare products or services. Supervising the activities of customer service representatives in accomplishing customer care goals.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Directs outbound and incoming calls to optimize agent utilization. Facilitates the resolution of customer problems, issues, or concerns. Identifies the primary means of communication and their appropriateness for different occasions. Demonstrates sensitivity to speakers by positive language, verbal and non-verbal. Completes tasks and inspires confidence in leaders by demonstrating honesty and integrity. Demonstrates open, friendly, accepting, and supportive behaviors with team members. Follows direction in relation to the time and effort needed to achieve work objectives. Manipulates files within different folders, directories, partitions, drives, etc. Works with a specific computer-based communications (CBC) application.

DEPARTMENT DETAILS

Obtains prior authorizations on durable medical equipment with emphasis on the rehab product line. Schedules home visits for equipment delivery and pick up. Functions as a resource for other customer service representatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent required. Three year of office experience with exposure to customer relations and computer data input preferred. Experience with insurance reimbursement preferred.
