JOB SUMMARY

The Grants & Contracts Coordinator assists with the preparation and management of proposals, grant applications and contracts in the areas of new programs and services or support of ongoing programs and services. Assists with the performance of professional and administrative work pre-award, post award and financial activities pertinent to the mission and interests of Sanford Health. Researches and identifies potential funding sources and opportunities. Ensures submission of complete and accurate application and reports within grant deadlines. Coordinates compliance with grant reporting. Assists grant project teams with the overall project management, reports to funding agencies and assists with time management in meeting project goals. Assists in maintaining grant and contract file for audit purposes.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs all aspects of administrative support for a location or a department. Prepares all oral and written materials, including contracts, proposals and presentations. Distributes internal and external correspondence to appropriate recipients. Compile or develop materials to submit to granting or other funding organizations. Coordinates preparation and distribution of standard reports (e.g. status or activity). Develops the content and layout of organization-specific materials. Arranges meetings, schedules rooms, equipment, refreshments, etc. Organizes and coordinates internal communication functions and meetings. Delivers written and oral communication, responds to questions and concerns, and produce specific outcomes and impact. Helps link organizational objectives to customer needs and expectations.

DEPARTMENT DETAILS

This is an entry level position within our Grants & Contracts department and the successful candidate could be located in either Sioux Falls, SD or Fargo, ND.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's Degree preferred. Area of focus in English, Business, Journalism, Communication, Healthcare, Law or related field preferred. Two years' experience in office administration, grant, contract or related experience required.
